The Certified Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) is one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Freedom to Learn - Independent Campus) programs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. MSIB is a Kampus Merdeka program designed to ensure that students acquire essential, cutting-edge, and most relevant skills and competencies for the future world. Students gain learning experience outside the campus for over 16 to 24 weeks, with the ability to convert the experience into course credits (SKS).

The Digital Business Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Makassar State University (UNM), is one of the study programs at UNM committed to participating in MSIB every semester.
