Students from the Digital Business Study Program at Makassar State University (UNM) won 2nd Place at the Fordigi Hackathon Challenge. The Fordigi Hackathon Challenge is a competition organized by FORDIGI BUMN (Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise Digitalization Forum) and the Ministry of SOEs, aiming to identify digital talent among students capable of becoming problem solvers for local issues in their respective regions.

The event was part of the Fordigi Goes to Campus series held at the Unhas Convention and Hotel on June 6, 2023. In this event, the UNM Digital Business Study Program was represented by two finalist teams: Team MtoM (consisting of Mahdi, Naufal, Zaky, and Ilfa) and Team Jooqu (consisting of Maura, Balqis, Ammar, Mahdi, and Naufal).

In the competition, each team was tasked with developing a digital technology-based innovation to solve problems occurring in their local area. After evaluation by the panel of judges, the top 10 teams were chosen to present their innovations in front of all participants and the jury. Based on the judges' scores, Team MtoM successfully clinched 2nd place, and Team Jooqu successfully became a finalist in the event.

Maura, the leader of Team Jooqu, expressed that her team's success in becoming a finalist was the result of excellent teamwork and served as a great opportunity to learn and improve their skills.

Mahdi, the leader of Team MtoM, stated that his team's success in winning 2nd place was a very valuable experience, especially amidst his busy schedule as a new UNM student. "We feel very fortunate to have had this extraordinary experience in this event, considering we just started college this year. Thank you to Fordigi Goes to Campus for giving us this opportunity." Maura and Mahdi both hope that their teams' success in this event can inspire other students, especially those in the UNM Digital Business Study Program, to be brave enough to try and not be afraid of failure.
